He's the Worst Ever

Ever since 1948, when Harvard professor Arthur Schlesinger Sr. asked 55 historians to rank U.S. presidents on a scale from "great" to "failure," such polls have been a favorite pastime for those of us who study the American past.

This game is undoubtably cool. The question is, have we made it too difficult to actually engage with real people? With games like this we don't need anyone else to be entertained.

WASHINGTON (Reuters)- When radio host Jerry Klein suggested that all Muslims in the United States should be identified with a crescent-shape tattoo or a distinctive arm band, the phone lines jammed instantly.

The first caller to the station in Washington said that Klein must be "off his rocker." The second congratulated him and added: "Not only do you tattoo them in the middle of their forehead but you ship them out of this country ... they are here to kill us."

Here are some quick but provocative questions or statements i though of that we could add to the rice crispy treat thing:

• Affirmative Action is reverse discrimination.

• The Civil Rights Movement failed politically.

• The Civil Rights Movement was a success and there isn't much left to be done. Racism is pretty much a thing of the past.

This is a BBC story comparing different country's population distributions, average age of marriage, etc. Very interesting. There are some countries where over 50% of the population is under 18!

If anybody wants to start shooting some ideas around about the program: "Fortune 100 Friend of Foe" we can do that here. The basic idea for the program was to critique fortune 100 companies. If you have any statistics about these companies, any info about them cutting health insurance benefits, law suits, fraud, "war mongering", or conspiracy let me know.  If you have possitive experiences include those as well.  We dont want to become %100 anti corporation.  Then we can start organizing the program based on the info we gather.
